Eminem - Stan and Postmodernism.

Eminem. Eminem is in general very postmodern, most of his videos include parody’s things out of the norm and very opinion based views of the world. The video I’m going to be talking about is his song called Stan. This video is very postmodern as Eminem has sung the song from two points of view, one as himself and one as an obsessed fan. This is out of the norm and different to s normal music video. The first part of this video shows how Stanley is dying his hair similarly to Eminem this shows the obsessed nature of this fan and how Eminem’s video is portraying his fans and how some go to such extreme lengths to be like him. This part of the video also portrays how he is aggressive towards his pregnant wife showing a shift in how women are being treated and this is the new age.
